Eid Al Adha 2020

Our Eid al-Adha 2020 family portraits are in!

Really happy to have spent it with family once again. What I love about this photo is everyone's individual reactions to the confetti going bang.

About an hour before we took this picture, I was in the living room with my uncle with the FA Cup final in the background thinking how we were going to time the confetti with the camera's self-timer so I could run in and be a part of the image.

The camera was a fair distance away because I happen to love shooting family portraits with a telephoto lens which, when set up correctly, allows everyone to be crisply in focus with a flattering perspective you can't get at wide angles and an aesthetic depth of field.

We did a few test shots to get everyone ready (we only had one chance with the confetti). Smashed it.
